When the sun goes down and the midway lights come up, the mud pit takes over. Riders launch into a churned-up track under the glow of the ferris wheel, throwing rooster tails of mud while the crowd leans on the rail. Some make it through. Some don't. Both are worth watching.
Entry is $20 per run with one buyback allowed, and every class pays back 100% of premiums — so the purse goes right back to the racers. Classes run across five divisions:
- SxS Non-Turbo
- SxS Turbo
- ATV Utility 0–800cc
- ATV Utility 801cc and up
- Open 4x4
Safety requirement: a recovery rope must be attached to your vehicle before you enter the pit. No rope, no run.
Youth Races
Kids get their own shot at the mud with the Youth 4 Wheeler Mud Track Race, the Youth SxS Mud Track Race, and the Youth Muddy Mayhem Foot Race — the last one requiring nothing but sneakers you don't mind ruining.
