This pageant, a traditional and important part of the Washington County Fair, is proudly sponsored again by the Fair Board of Directors and Committee and supported by local businesses and interested individuals. Queens in each of the two (2) categories will receive a crown, trophy, sash and roses. Each will be crowned on Monday night of the Fair and will be introduced any/all nights during the remainder of the Fair. The number of runners-up will be determined once the officials are assured of the number of participants, contingent upon the same. The runners-up chosen for each category receive a trophy, roses, and a cash prize.
Cash prizes to be awarded in the Miss division are: Queen $1000.00, 1st runner-up $300.00; 2nd runner-up $100.00.
Cash prizes to be awarded in the Jr. Miss division are Queen $300.00, 1st runner-up- $200.00, 2nd runner-up $100.00.
This pageant is open to contestants who are residents of the following Southwest Virginia Counties: Washington, Russell, Buchanan, Smyth, Tazewell, Wythe, Wise, Scott, Dickenson, Lee, and the City of Bristol, VA.
