Bring your favorite companion to Building A at the Washington County Fairgrounds for The Big Pet Show! Entry into the pet show competition is completely free for all participants.

- Entry Fee: Free to enter the show (exhibitors must pay normal fairground admission)
Class Schedule
- Dogs: Small Breed, Medium Breed, Large Breed, Old Timer (8 Years & Over), Puppy Love (1 Year & Under), Best Trick, Best Rescue Story, Waggiest Tail, Costume Class, Pet Most Like Owner, Best Hair Do, Gorgeous Girl, Handsome Boy
- Cats: Largest Breed, Smallest Breed, Most Beautiful, Costume
- Miscellaneous: Largest, Smallest, Most Beautiful, Costume
Rules & Regulations
- Restraints: All pets must be restrained by a leash, cage, or other means of restraint.
- Health & Vaccinations: All pets must be healthy and up to date on vaccinations as required by Washington County and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Owners must clean up after their pets and relieve them in non-public areas.
- Entry: Exhibitors will pay normal ticket prices to enter the fairgrounds, and pet(s) will be admitted at no charge with the exhibitor. Pets will be issued a special pass designating them as participants. Only pets participating in the show (or service animals) are permitted on the fairgrounds.
- Safety & Responsibility: Owners are responsible for the actions of their pets. Animals deemed aggressive or unmanageable by the Pet Show Committee will be asked to leave. Keep pets at a safe distance from other animals. The Washington County Fairgrounds, volunteers, and staff assume no liability for injury to persons or pets.
- Class Limits: The Fair reserves the right to cancel or combine classes, and the number of participants may be limited based on total entries.
